Hey.. I think your chances are great based on your GPA and SATs...but you might be a little shy on the ECs...

I have similar SATs, but weaker GPA and stronger ECs. So we're in the same boat.

When did you submit your app? I submitted mine pretty late compared to all the other people on this site. and don't know how long this'll take.

id say ur in

Actually, I haven't submitted it yet, which I agree is pretty bad when it comes to the regular decision rolling admission issue. I still have to wrap up one end with a teacher and I think I'll submit it this weekend.

Thanks for your insightful comments, though!

Your Golden!

Let me add one more concern though - I still have NOT applied. I plan to send it in on the first Saturday of this year. Additionally, I am not a Michigan resident.

Factoring those two thoughts in - am I still holding a favorable chance at getting in?

Dude i will bet my right ear that you will get in lol...

Your fine...i would say in with scholarship/merit money but your OOS so i dont know

you're in...

Hm... I am sure there are alot procrastinators out there like us.

Should you get in? Yes, absolutely given your stats. But imo UM is terrible with late apps. Too many of my friends got waitlisted and in the end rejected solely because they applied later than everyone else. They had excellent statistics as well, which is unfortunate. Good luck!

yeah IMO rolling admissions is dumb
but you're in, but probly no merit $
BTW "Telluride Nominee" is not really a noteworthy accomplishment lol. "Finalist" would be though, and getting it would definitely be of the utmost prestige

Oh? Sorry, I had no idea. blush My AP History teacher told me that it would be a good thing to put in a college application so I did. Thanks for telling me that though - I really wasn't quite sure myself on how much being only a nominee was.

I agree with Pistons... with the late people comment, I know kids with 34 and 4.0s- umich gpa (instate) who got rejected because they applied pretty late

Oh crap...would the fact that I'm a legacy help any? And how much brownie points do you think Michigan would give out for being a National Merit Semifinalist? Sorry for the deluge of new questions!
