In 11th grade (or at the end of 10th) I started the Academic Decathlon team at my school. We finished 3rd at state this year. Captain of Academic Decathlon Team, and team's highest scorer.

-Volunteering (10, 11, 12)
Volunteered about 400 hours (about 500 is what I'm thinking I'll get) I volunteer at a hospital, and a violin clinic to help disadvantaged children. But the one I love most is I volunteer over the summer at a Non-profit which helps make and package food and send it around the world.

My main question is that I really love humanitarian causes and such and want to be a diplomat or like a professional humanitarian when I'm older. My question is what can I do to help improve my chances from what I have. And how can I put them in the best light for essays and such to get that across that those are my interests and that is what I have pursued thus far. I know getting into a school like Columbia, G'Town and my other reaches will be very difficult without doing this, and I'm wondering exactly how to do it.

Also my question is am I missing any schools that can be good for me. Kinda what I want is great internship opportunities in a big city (that's why Occidental is up there because they have a program called like Oxy at the UN or something which is supposed to be really cool).

The schools that I want to apply to:
Reach:
Columbia (top choice)
Georgetown (very close to top choice)
Johns Hopkins University
Princeton University

Match:
New York University
George Washington University

Safety:
Occidental University
American University
University of Wisconsin: Madison

Thank you so much for the advice ahead of time. I really appreciate it.
