Chances for an AVERAGE student w/ good ECs?

<p>Alright so I just wanted to find out where I stand in getting into Loyola Marymount University for the Fall of 2008. I really want to go here so I just want an opinion with some updated info.</p>

<p>Grade: Junior
Graduating: 2008
Ethnicity: White
High School: Sends Some grads to top schols (about 3-5 per year to ivys, some to duke, georgetown, usc, etc.)
Ecomomic Status: Middle-Class
Will Apply for fin. Aid
Only 1 or 2 other people from my school will apply to LMU</p>

<p>Freshman Courses: (All College level) English 9, Spanish 1, Biology, Algebra I, World History 9, Writing
Sophomore Courses: (2 Honors, rest college) Honors English 10, Spanish 2, Honors Chemistry, Geometry, World History 10, Comp. Graphics
Junior Courses: (2 honors, 2Ap, rest college) Honors english 11, Honors spanish 3, AP Science, Algebra 2, AP US History, Photo
Senior Courses (planned): (2AP, 2 honors, rest electives/no honors offered) AP Euro, AP English 12, Honors FST, Economics/Accounting, Phsycology, Photo 2</p>

<p>GPA: 3.2UW, 3.447W -- Will rise to 3.4UW and 3.6W by end of junior year
Class Rank: Top 25% 81/366 -- may go up by end of year (top 20%)
NOTE: Huge upward trend from freshman to junior, had Ds both semesters in freshman Algebra
ACT: 25 first time, retaking in June and expecting 27 or 28.</p>

<p>Will have awsome recs, awsome essays</p>

<p>Pretty Good ECs. Shows commitment and leadership.
-President/leader of 2 clubs (member for 3 years in one and 2 years in another) Very deticated to both, many accomplishments
-Senior Leader of varsity team (on varsity 4 years) Intramurals & camps for the same sport. Very committed, 4X varsity letterman & starter
-Spanish Honor Society, tutoring Spanish (2 years)
-Student council (4 years)
-Worked with the marketing director and office manager of a marketing/design company as an intern last summer
-Intern at Brand development/marketing company this summer
-I have my own business doing web design/graphics.
-Steady job for 2+ years doing office/case work for lawyers in my city
-might do some lawyer shadowing next year</p>

<p>Sorry this was pretty long.. hope you can help me.</p>

<p>oh and i forgot to mention that my major will be business law with a possible pre-law emphasis or a possible political scence minor.</p>

<p>Looks good to me. Have you tried taking SAT because with a 25 ACT it may not be the test for you ahahha. And since you have honors english, looks like you can write :)</p>

<p>yeah i really didn't study for the first test at all.. i took just to get the feel for it. I have been studying and am now getting 27 and 28s on practice tests. I'm taking the SAT in may but i doubt i'll do better than a 1700 if that.. i hate the SAT lol.</p>

<p>Perhaps the majority of us aren't familiar with Loyola Marymount University so that's why we can't provide any helpful replies.</p>
