Thanks for your time! The list of ECs might be incomplete for right now, but I think that should be sufficient for an evaluation. This will probably be for early action, as indicated in the thread title. Oh! And if it helps, my dad went to Stanford, so I have some legacy ;). Once again, thank you very much!

Bump. Allow me to add a couple of things now that I've read over a couple similar topics.

First, I should add that my academic aim/passion is political science and economics; additionally, I could see myself majoring in sociology, perhaps as a double major with economics. I would not be at all surprised to see myself going to business school and/or law school after I graduate. My EC list might not seem to indicate it, but most of my activities tend to be leadership and politics-oriented.

Again, thanks much.

To me (I'm a rising senior so maybe my view isn't that great), you seem to have a great chance at Stanford especially with your speech and debate awards, as well as legacy giving you a tip. Good luck!

Thank you, frutiaspice. Stanford is definitely my dream school... been wanting to go there since I was about 7 years old. Anyway, any other input? Thanks again!

Good EC's with debate and ping pong (are you nationally ranked? or is it just a hobby or what?). Test scores are fine, GPA is probably fine as well. SAT II's are the only scores which are a bit low, but Math was the important one and you did well on that so I doubt those will drag you down much, if at all.

I would say your certainly competitive, chances are probably better than average.

The table tennis thing is sort of both, docketgold. I've played against some of the members of the Stanford team, and I think I could make the team if I keep practicing. I had a decent national ranking a couple years ago, but since then I haven't had much time to practice, though I still play. Thanks for your comment, though..

Any others?
