Oh I forgot--I am in the top 15% and I will be receiving my cambridge diploma. The cambridge is a very rigorous program similar to IB.

bump.......................

Not expert, but imo, I believe you'll be admitted if your supplement was terrific, great recs. Congrats on your ACT. Curious: What were your SAT scores?

sorry you got deferred! i was waitlisted last year by W&M... sent them a letter about how much i loved w&m and told them that i would enroll if i was accepted and sent them my additional achievements and info and still didn't get in. Looks as though you are really involved, and I'd say you were a shoo-in if your GPA was 4.0 or above. Realistically, i dont see you getting in. But anything can happen! Getting in off the waitlist there is just extremely tough.

yea, my sat scores werent as great, so i didnt send them in--it was only 1300 for reading and math.--just curious drock16drock what was your gpa?

bump--last time sorry!!!!

Maybe too late, now, but when you're deferred EA, you really need to contact the admissions office and tell them you're still interested, W&M is still your first choice and to point out your improvement in your GPA, and anything else that may tip the decision in your favor. If you applied EA, you'd think that your interest is obvious, but doesn't always seem to be the case.

For most schools, deferral from EA is a tough place to be, it helps greatly to get an advocate inside the admissions office, and for that, you need to be proactive.

Good luck!

Yea, I sent a letter in like January saying all that. I also included new awards. I retook my act and got it up to a 32. I also sent an article from the local community newspaper that I write for. i pretty much have done everything i can do:(

Hopefully you get in, you certainly deserve it. You have more EC and leadership than me and instate, so I'm surprised you didn't get in ED. I was accepted ED with a 32 ACT, 1340 SAT, and a 3.95 unweighted (each school does this differently)... Hopefully they will realize what you can bring to the community and let you in.
