<p>I'm a student from Southeast Asia and I would really love to go to the UK to study medicine. Could you please give me my honest chances for these schools in the UK (for medicine): King's College, Imperial, Oxford, Cambridge, UCL</p>
<p>Academic:
- Taking A levels next year (got straight As this year)
- Top high school in the country, top 5% of cohort of 1200, 3.83 GPA
- Taking H3 (higher level) Biology next year
- 2310 for SAT (750 CR, 770 W, 790 M) (I don't think UK colleges look at this though)
- Knows 3 languages
- 3rd in a national debate competition (not in English)
- Participated in many national Geography competitions
- Poem published in an international anthology
- Top 50 in an international haiku competition</p>
<p>ECs:
- Red Cross Society
- Biology Society
- Angklung Ensemble (Gold in a national competition)
- Peer Support Board (executive committee)
- Students' Council
- Organised and faciliated an international convention for youth leaders</p>
<p>Service:
- Trip to Vietnam to teach kids there English (3 months preparation and 1 week in Vietnam)
- Initiated a programme within my community where i conduct piano lessons for less priviliged kids. 6 months of preparation before the kids put up a performance for their parents.
- Lots of other activities on a adhoc basis</p>
<p>Work experience:
- Attachment at a clinic (1 week)
- Attachment at a medical insitution (4 weeks)
- Attachment a research facility (few days)</p>
<p>Future plans:
- Become an ambassador for youth health
- Giving free lectures online to A level students (sorting out the curriculum this year and conducting the lectures next year)</p>
