Our school really isn't good at all, and it offers 15 AP courses in total, except few pass them. I've already passed more ap courses than last year's valedictorian. Taught myself multi-var calculus + linear algebra, and currently studying real analysis.

Any other comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think you’re in! Apply for some Ivy leagues and top 10 schools, you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks. Anyone else?

Unless you are American Indian, I don’t think you will be classified as a URM at most schools you would be applying to.

You are very competitive for UNC but their admissions process is such that there are no locks or guarantees. With your heavy concentration of community service ECs I would recommend that you also submit the application for Robertson Scholarship consideration.

Yeah, I’m Asian, so that would make me an ORM =[

I heard about the Robertson Scholarship but I was under the impression that UNC auto-recommends you during evaluation if they feel you are a good candidate. Is there a point to applying separately?

Absolutely. That way you KNOW they (Robertson) will look at your application rather than taking a chance that admissions will send it on.

It’s a fabulous opportunity. My son’s best friend and roommate was a Robertson; my son was a Morehead. Don’t leave it to chance, besides it lets them know you are interested as well.

Alright, I will apply. Thanks. Out of curiosity, why do you think your son was accepted into the program? Both are pretty selective, so the more information I have the better =]
