Chances for Andover, Exeter, Deerfield, Hotchkiss

I posted a chance thread a few weeks back, but I've added/removed a school or two and updated ECs and schooling situation. I hope I'm not breaking any rules or failing to adhere to chance thread etiquette... oh well

Grades for first quarter:
Biology Honors: 99
PE: 98 (I did 40 pushups and I didn't get 100?! NOT COOL)
Global I Honors: 96
Chinese I: 97
English 9 Honors: 99
Design and Drawing for Production: 100
Algebra I: 96
Overall: 97.86

Current grades (that I have knowledge of):
Biology Honors: 99
Chinese I: 100
Geometry(started midyear): 85 (it would be a couple points higher but my teacher put a 0 on my homework when I didn't turn it in because I was out sick. Since I'm switching schools I won't be able to get it to her so I'm just going to have to send a note or something explaining how I can't turn it in. But overall I think that's pretty good coming in midyear)
Design and Drawing for Production: 98
Algebra: 96
These grades are probably inflated though...

School type: Public BUT will be switching to a good private day school when break is over.
FA: We could pay around 6000-8000 of the tuition.

ECs:
Gymnastics- 9 hours a week, 3x a week, level 5 USAG (not that good) no major awards
Piano- 1 30 minute lesson 1x a week, no awards whatsoever
Art- No lessons. Not a very good artist, comparatively. Was recognized by Stone Soup but never given a story to illustrate.
Rising Stars Internship- This is my best EC in my opinion. Started in 7th grade. I attend Amateur Astronomers club meetings every month, and go to star parties when I can. I'm hopefully going to get a recommendation (for Exeter) from the coordinator.

I'm probably going to start offering tutoring services in basic algebra and pre-algebra to kids in my old homeschooling group.

Awards:
2nd place Solar System at Science Olympiad (invitational) 8th grade
Misc. team awards for FLL Lego Robotics 7th-8th grade
12th place Vault, age 12+ Level 5 at 2010 Candy Cane Classic (ahahahahaaa... fail. I'll do better next time?)
Stone Soup recognition 8th grade
Rising Stars internship (there is an admission process)

SSAT: Will post scores when I receive them. I think I did okay.
Recs: Probably very good
Essays: For Andover, okay. Deerfield, eh. Hotchkiss, pretty good I think. Exeter, so far so good.
"Hook": I was homeschooled k-8.

Please be completely honest. :)

Your grades are just WOW.

They are solid so you definitely don’t need to worry about them!

What grade are you in/going into? Being completely honest I don’t think being homeschooled is a hook at all. These schools are looking for kids that will fit in well at a boarding school and I’m not sure how they would view someone that didn’t go to school with other kids until they were in 9th grade. On the other hand those grades are crazy high.

Thanks  I’m in 9th grade; applying for 10th. I understand the competition for 10th is pretty tough though…

I picked being homeschooled for the “hook” because Exeter sounded like they were interested in the uniqueness and blahblahblah… lol. You have a point though.
