<p>I know it's a reach for me, but I thought I should get some insight from others.
I'm applying to Annenberg to study journalism at USC.</p>
<p>I attend the most competitive public high school in my county, which is consistently ranked amongst the top 5 in the nation.</p>
<p>Academics:
GPA: 3.6 out of 4.0
Rank: Top 33%</p>
<p>I know my standardized test scores are way below their average, I'm more worried about that than anything else.
SAT: 1680 (R: 600, M: 490, W: 590)
ACT: 24 </p>
<p>Very competitive schedule since freshman year, getting harder each year.
7 AP courses (Euro, Lang/Comp, US History, US Govt, French Language, Statistics, English Lit)
8 Pre-AP/Advanced classes
3 Dual Enrollment classes resulting in 18 credit hours and a 4.0 college GPA
Accepted into highly competitive Information Technology program, will graduate with at least 4 professional certifications and an IT medal
School Paper Staff since junior year: Section Editor for the Current Events section, creator and editor in chief of the online version of our paper, writer, editor, film columnist (I want to be a film critic)</p>
<p>Was accepted to and attended the Washington Journalism and Media conference
Id like to think that my letters of rec. and essay are very good to outstanding, but thats not something I can judge without bias :)</p>
