Chances for Art Girl?

Hey. I've already posted this a few times in other forums; I'd just like to hear whether people on each thread think I have a chance at any of these schools. I'm not sure whether I'm Princeton caliber...so here goes.

GPA UW: 3.7 W: 5.4 (rumors that i may be salutatorian)
I have made A's in most classes, but i'm weak in math: C in alg2, B in IB math studies1 and B in honors chemistry, B in IB math studies2. Still taking honors calc next year though.

my major passion is continental philosophy. debate has been my outlet. likely going to major in it. Princeton, for this reason, may be my favorite school, along with U of Chicago, because it is supposedly very strong in philosophy...

old SAT: 780v 670m
(plan to take new one next year, hoping for 700m, 800v, 750-800w)
750 US history
770 literature
800 french
taking bio soon (expect 700?)

past APs:
euro 5
french 5
french lit 5
expected scores:
english 5
US hist 5
psych 5 (self studied)
english lit 4-5 (self studied)
bio 4-5 (self studied)

honors: check out some of my art here: <a href="http://artattack.to/display.php?artist=1000001004%5B/url%5D">http://artattack.to/display.php?artist=1000001004</a>
-expected national AP scholar
-regional gold key for art
-national silver key for art (congressional art award pending. crossing fingers!)
-art exhibited at coconut grove women's club twice and at Miami Art Museum once
-3rd best speaker at Florida Novice State in Lincoln-Douglas debate
-ranked 1st nationwide on French exam (division for native speakers)
-named junior scholar at my school
-national merit semi by senior yr
-co-editor and co-founder of school's literary magazine, Encore (some of my art is in it)
-vice president of debate club

ECs: long-term job tutoring french and english
long-term member of creative writing club
spending 4 weeks at Pratt Institute for art classes
short Lincoln-Douglas debate seminar this summer too
unfortunately not more than 200 volunteer hours. hope to catch up on those during the summer.

Sorry for how long this is....please be honest with me. I know it's sort of unusual to be setting sights on Ivies with crappy math skills like mine, but i feel that i may be able to compensate for it.

Thanks for your input!

am i leper or something?

looks great to me :)
Your profile looks impressive. Just make sure you stand out somehow :)
Best of luck

You will be very competitive with your scores so your essay will be very important.
Try to stand out by possibly tying your art in with your essay. My son was accepted with numbers similar to yours and an art portfolio. You have to convert to 35mm slides. <a href="http://www.slideplus.com/index.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.slideplus.com/index.htm</a></p>

wow, i didn't expect this much optimism :) so the math thing is not going to be a serious hold-up? i mean....math studies is for math dummies....let alone making B's in it....Ah well. I'm glad to hear that you don't think it's some kind of fatal flaw... Thanks for the advice nopoisonivy; i originally planned on writing the essay on my interest in philosophy since i don't have much else to show for it and it's really, all in all, more important to me than art....at least for the time being. I could probably tie the philo and the art together pretty easily though :)

Include a very articulate artist's statement with your portfolio. Unless Princeton has changed, you have several essays to write, so lots of opportunities. Don't worry so much re the community service; no school expects you to do everything. Just play up your strengths in art, debate, and French. Good luck.

don't worry about the community service - I had 0 volunteer hours (something I plan to rectify very soon :) )

you are awesome.
