Chances for average student...

B U M P

Personally, as a fellow person interested in business with about the same stats, (higher test scores, lower gpa), here's what I would do (with chances)

Reach
-NYU Stern ED - 20/80
-University of Michigan Ross - 10/90
-University of Chicago - totally depends on essays
-Carnegie Mellon/Tepper - not sure

-Boston College:50/50
-UIUC/Business - not sure

-Northeastern U. - In for sure
-Indiana - In for sure

I can tell you that admissions to Ross is brutal. I think only 70 or so students get in preferred, and half of those kids are probably from michigan. Stern is also really hard to get into. Much harder than NYU. To be brutally honest, there's nothing in your application that "pops" out. If you can raise your SAT score to >2200, or get an ACT score of >33, then you have a shot at your reaches.

I think you have a good idea on your chances seeing as though your reposting your own chances every few replies. The thing is, nobody knows. Makes me feel better when people say I have a chance on my threads, but the reality is, for many schools, its a crapshoot.

That said, if you have a LOT of questions, talking to a college advisor might help. And as others have said, applying to that many schools will, and I can almost guarentee this, lower your chances at many of your schools. 21 x ~2 essays each = 42 essays. Quality is bound to go down, its only natural :).

First Choice:
-NYU Stern (maybe ED)
-University of Michigan(rolling, early october=very early)
-University of Chicago (EA)

Reach:
-University of Chicago (EA):10/90
-NYU Stern (most likely ED):20/80
-Carnegie Mellon/Tepper:25/75
-Wesleyan University:15/85
-UVA/McIntire:20/80
-Georgetown University/McDonough:20/80?

Low Reach/Match:
-University of Michigan (as early as possible):40/60
-Boston College:50/50
-Univ. of MD/Smith:45/55?
-UIUC/Business:55/45?
(need more schools here!!!)

Low Match/Safety:
-Indiana U/Kelley:80/20
-Babson College:65/35?
-Bentley College:75/25?
-Northeastern U.:70/30
-Penn State U.:80/20?

I'm not applying Ross preferred. I changed my mind...I'm going LSA-->Ross as a sophomore. :D

Anxiously waits for SAT scores

bumpbumpbump

Anxiously waits for SAT scores

Sorry, but I think your chances at Georgetown are more like slim to none...your GPA is a big blemish (mine too), your SATs are low-mid for Georgetown, and you have very few ECs.

yeah I'm not applying to Georgetown. first choice is NYU Stern (that's why ED).

Did you get your new SAT scores?

not yet
monday.

Bumpbumpbump!!!!!!

What did you get on your SAT?? I

I mean SAT I. Lol.

1940...yuck. I'm retaking it.
