Thats about it, I think BC is a reach for me. Well I’ll like some input anyways, thanks!

everything else but your sat scores look great, i think the average for BC is about 2016?

Boston Latin Academy... did you go to the NJCL Convention in Indiana this past summer, by any chance?

Damn, now BC is definitely out of the question for me =(. I guess theres no harm in praying now haha.

No, as much as my latin teachers persuaded me to go to these state conventions, I never came through with it.

does anyone else want to give their opinions?

yeah...you definetly shouldn't count yourself out...I had below average stats and I got in EA...alot of it comes down to essays and recommendations...Your GPA and SAT might bring you down a bit but they aren't so bad that they'll keep you out. If your essays and recs are good...id say you have a reasonable chance...your ECs and work seem pretty nice...

thanks dude, you dont know how good that makes me feel haha. I wish I applied EA, I thought about it but never went through with it. Does being captain of a varsity team help for BC? I thought it would since all there sports are D1 but volleyball isn't one of them ha.

Yeah...honestly I really never would have believed I got in. I think applying EA is the best thing I could have done. The title of Varsity Captain will probably do alot for you, plus I think the thing that really set me apart was my work experience. Few kids have quality work experience while maintaining good grades...so that should help you alot!

Supposedly being a guy helped me alot too...honestly I never hear the end of that from girls who applied EA and got deferred with much higher stats lol

Best of luck...only a few more weeks until you find out!

what were your stats serra padre?

My Stats:

Non-Jesuit Catholic High School in the Bay Area (Northern California)

3.65 UW/4.22 W
2050 690 M/640 CR/720W
Really hard course load with summer community college classes.

EC's:
2 Sports
Newpaper
Some Clubs-including 3 Presidencies.

Work:
Albertson's Bagboy for 6 months
Macy's Salesman for almost a year.

oh thats pretty good, the way you said it i thought your stats were bad

Yeah, that doesn't seem below average at all. I hope being captain and having those work experiences will help me. So nervous!!! Its exciting and nerve-racking simultaneously!

well I dunno lol i just know that people with better stats than me didn't get in and people with lower stats than me did...its more about other things...like being captain of that team or that work experience...you know? All of us are qualified...it just comes down to who the admission committee likes as a whole person...

thats really good to know because im like you, my test scores arent amazing but i have beastly ec's and good personal qualities.

Nice!!! That makes me feel a whole lot more confident. Decisions coming out on April 15th? Its usually earlier I heard but I can't wait!

It'll probably come out about 10 days earlier...for EA they told us the 25th and I got my notification on like the 18th...which was 3 days after most other people heard. Good Luck to both of you guys!!! Are you definetly going if you get in?

Yeah its my top choice. I love the campus and everything about BC. I applied to some ivies but who am I kidding, BC is the most reasonable reach for me.

ill be applying EA next year, not sure if you were addressing me or not

Good luck you guys...yeah I'm not sure whether I'll be attending...I would love to...but Providence gave me 21k a year and that's really tempting. Plus I love the enviornment there...I really can't decide, I got no aid whatsoever from BC. I also applied to 2 ivies so we'll see on March 29th and 2 PM what happens with those lol I'm not expecting much...dxnice...where else did you apply?
