Hi, I’m currently a junior and I’ll be applying to colleges starting this fall!
I’ve always loved Barnard and I really want to apply ED, but as of now, what are my chances?
My latest report card hasn’t been released yet, so I will update that later.
Unweighted GPA : 92.6
APs: Music Theory, English, Mandarin (Next year: English and Social Psychology)
Took the SAT I twice: Oct: 1980, May: 2090 > Superscore: 2120
Just got my SAT II scores back and they’re not too great… advice? Literature: 680, Physics: 580
Should I add SAT Chinese and retake Physics and Lit?
Should I take the ACT?
Extracurriculars: Lots of volunteering and TAing at various summer camps, Chinese classes, just places with kids; I’m also a private piano teacher and take piano classes myself, I have various clubs and commitments at school including to a dance club and an I AM THAT GIRL charter but no sports or leadership positions, National Chinese Honor Society
Planning to major in Education and or Asian Studies and or International Relations!
Both my teacher recs are coming from teachers I am super close with (2+ years) and my counselor loves me.
I’m planning to get a supplemental rec from my employer this summer who is also attached to my work ethic.
I’m a low income Asian girl who comes from parents that immigrated here a while ago, but I was born here.
I live in NYC and go to Stuyvesant High School.
Do you think it’s possible??? :,) What can I do to improve myself??
THANK YOU SO MUCH <3
