Chances for BC/Northeastern/Tufts

I am a sophomore at a middle of the road liberal arts school. I am a bio major, looking to eventually go into medicine.

My situation:
didn't care in high school, got a 3.4. SATs were 610/590/620, wish I tried way harder on those
first semester of college took art classes as a graphic design major and had a 3.3.
got internships at harvard med and beth israel hospital, realized I wanted to go into medicine, began to apply myself fully and got straight As for the past two semesters.
My current GPA is a 3.769, will get straight As this upcoming semester as well.

I wrote my essay about the change in perspective that I had, I'm hoping an admissions officer gives me the benefit of the doubt to see I really have changed.

Tufts is my dream school, I know it is a reach but I think with strong essays and letters of recommendation I just might have a shot

BC is slightly less competitive, but I am definitely praying to get in there as well since my chances aren't too great

I feel as though (knock on wood) I should get into Northeastern, which I would still be very happy with

I am saying my prayers and applying to Penn and Brown as well, just to make myself laugh almost. I know my chances are <.01%

Can you guys give me any input? I feel like my essays are a HUGE make or break for Tufts and BC

Ask on the transfer boards… I am not qualified to speak for transfers.

sorry I didn’t realize this was the wrong section, i’ll post there instead

You can always attend Tufts in med school…

yes I would certainly like to attend Tufts medical school. The undergrad institution you go to does not have that much weight on where you go to med school, it is more what you do at that institution, your GPA and MCAT scores. I am really trying to transfer more so I can enjoy the experience at a great school. I will cross the med school bridge when I get to it haha

If you can keep up a GPA in the 3.7-3.8 range, score 31+ on the MCAT for best chance to attend Tufts med school… provided you have some ECs of substance.

yes I am confident in my ability to keep my GPA up, the MCAT I’ll have to devote a lot of time for. and I have gotten started with ECs, and I have many opportunities in the future for research, shadowing, etc. Once I get to classes like Orgo 2 and Physics I will definitely have a hard time, but it’s just a matter of putting in the work. frankly I’m not brilliant but I will outwork the other 95% of students applying to medical school
