Hey, I’m a CCC student 30 minutes from Berkeley. I’m applying as an EECS major but I’m worried that my GPA may disqualify me. GPA not included though, I feel like a strong candidate.

GPA Major: 3.85 (B in diff eq)

Very Good Essays but not incredible
The staff at the xfer center at your school ought to be very familiar with Cal and the success rate of kids from your school in getting in. Have you asked them?
Chance me PLEASE!!!
Note: One-year transfer.
Major: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
GPA: 4.00 (both transferable and overall)
CCC: Irvine Valley College
IGETC: No
Pre Reqs: all completed!
EC: moderate (7/10)
TAG: UCI
Applied: UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCSD, UCD
Accepted: UCSD

Your chances aren’t really good, but who really knows? if they see a lot of diversity in you, they may accept you but this is a very competitive major with about 7% acceptance rate.
@Moshe1010 That is a killer acceptance rate! I have my fingers crossed!
@ucbalumnus I have all the pre-reqs completed but not the strongly recommended courses. I have explained to them that IVC doesn’t offer these additional courses. I don’t know! Fingers crossed!
Why did you hijack @Collegiate17’s thread? Not cool.
@Nirsimha seems to be new and probably hasn’t been on many forums before so she doesn’t understand basic forum etiquette.
