Nothing from elementary school is going to factor into your application.

Depending on your grades and scores in middle school (6-8 grade), I’d say you’re very competitive for those schools. Certainly for Middlesex, Hill, Peddie, and Brooks. Groton too, though Groton is a little more selective, I think. But you have impressive creds. I think the debating championships, lead flautist/singing, and BIKA activities are pretty good “hooks” that can set you apart. Good luck!

Thanks for your replies. I will take out everything from my elementary schools.
My GPA is 4.0, because I have all As in middle school. We don’t have A+ or A-. I am really hoping for Groton, because it is my first choice!

Hi.
I’m also applying for Groton 2015-2016 year. Is it okay if I ask a few questions? I also live in Canada, and was wondering which province, and also what form your applying for? I’m in Ontario and going for 2nd form. By the way, I’m Korean and from Gangnam, -because I saw that you were from Busan- Goodluck

Hi!! I am applying for third form… I got waitlisted last year for second form. :frowning:
Sure, you can ask me questions, but bear in mind that I might not know the answers.
Wow, Gangnam? That’s like the “IT” city in Korea. I lived in a small town south of Vancouver, BC but I am in Busan at the moment. Just curious, are you a girl or a boy?
Good luck to you too! :)

Hi  My questions are… what was your SSAT score last year (you don’t have to tell if that’s too personal).
How was your interview? And How did you get good teacher reccomendations last year?(if you did)
BTW I’m a girl living in London Canada since I was 7 but the rest of my family live in Gangnam :D
Thanks @jena0408

Also did you apply to any other schools other than Groton last year for 2nd form? @jena0408

You are an excellent candidate for any USA boarding school!! Although, you will have to take the SSAT and when you do tell us & more about the score r
you received also about your current grades. Best of Luck!!!

Hi!! I am really sorry for replying late but right now I am on my interviews!! I will tell you all about it when I get back to Korea.

@sarahviolin02 I recieved 93 percentile on the SSAT. It is not that high for Groton admission I guess…
I am pretty close to teachers so I had no problem asking them for recommendations. I didn’t apply to any other than Groton last year. And yes, I live in Busan.

@babykins thanks for your reply! I got all A’s for this term’s exams. I am scheduled for the November SSAT and I am already so nervous. I got 2211 points last year, 99 percentile on math, 93 on reading and lets say my vocab was under 80. :frowning:

Thanks!!

Hi!! I just wanted to share some information on schools I visited! You can either PM me or post it here. BTW, I visited Hill, Peddie, St. Mark’s, Groton, Middlesex and Dana Hall. Each visit was unique and interesting.
