Applying: Brown, Columbia, Yale, Northwestern, Stanford, Berkeley, Middlebury, Macalester, University of Washington

Thank you!

For SATs I'll assume you score 2200 and your rank is in top 3%ish.

Brown: Slight Reach
Columbia: Reach
Yale: Reach
Northwestern: Slight Reach
Stanford: Reach
Berkeley: If OOS, Slight Reach. If In State, Match.
Middlebury: Match
Macalester: Match
University of Washington: Slight Reach/High Match.

WHAT? 0_0 I don't know if Gryffon knows what he's talking about. U of Washington is a definite match (I'd go as far as safety) for you. Unless you are taking about Wash U in St. Louis, which is different from u of wash. in seattle. Seriously, my friends with less than your stats and OOS got into U of Wash.

Kind of shows how you shouldn't take everything people say on the chances thread so seriously.

disclaimer: don't take me all too seriously either

Your stats are awesome. You're doing awesome. With stronger ECs/volunteering involvement in the summer and coming school year, I'd say those schools will think you're awesome too.

I think it was a simple mistake. On these boards, WashU (WUSTL)is more common to hear about than the University of Washington.

If you are out of state, I would raise Gryffon's "slight reach" from Berkeley to a "reach". It's frickin' hard for non-Californian's to get in there.

To clarify, I did mean University of Washington (in state).

Thanks to everyone who's replied so far! Bump...

Also - 1 year work experience as a courtesy clerk (grocery bagger) at local grocery store, starting job as barista soon, and several awards from the Washington State Thespian Society.

Class rank is also 1 out of 474.

Columbia (8% acceptance), Brown (13%) and Yale (10%) are impossible to predict with any certainty. Stanford is impossible if you're on the East Coast, but you're out west, so that should bump your chances a bit.
You'll get into the others...just make sure your SAT is 2200+
