you stand a really good chance. Maintain your grades in all years of high school. Keep doing the extracurriculars.

thanks, could I have anyone else’s thoughts?

Honestly for Ivies, perfect grades and scores only put you in the running with everyone else. Assume 99% of the candidates have your qualifications or higher. I would also assume if a school has a 9% acceptance rate, your chances of getting in are about 9% unless you have a major hook.

I’m definitely not a college admissions expert, but I definitely don’t think that we can just assume that “99% of the candidates have your qualifications are higher”. A 9% acceptance rate probably doesn’t mean everyone has a 9% chance. That’s the purpose of a chance me, and that’s why I posted this… to ask for opinions because I don’t know where I stand compared to others, and because I can’t (or don’t want to) make assumptions. Not everyone has a 4.0 UW gpa or access to AP/IB anyways. I thought ISEF finalist would be a hook, or at least a bump, but thank you for your opinion anyways!!

If Brown is your dream school and finances are not an issue I’d suggest you apply ED because the acceptance rate is definitely better in the ED round.

That being said the RD rounds at all the Ivies are challenging to say the least. There are plenty of vals and kids with amazing awards, perfect stats etc…who are rejected in droves every year.

Not all kids have AP/IB options but you’re assessed based on what’s available at your school…whether you took the most rigorous schedule available at your HS.

My school doesn’t offer many APs, so I took about half online since my state has a free virtual school. IB diploma is the most rigorous curriculum offered in my county. Thank you for your input!
