chances for Brown legacy?

I was wondering if anyone knew how much of a boost legacies get?
I have 2100 SAT, 3.7 unweighted GPA, ton of community service over the past three years (500 hours + NHS hours) and many extracurriculars. I intern throughout the year for various research projects. On top of that, my Grandfather was the president of Brown for many years (he passed away a while ago)
I really want to go to Brown!! what are my chances?
thanks

Great stats, but not the top of the Brown Applicant pool. That being said, your grandfather being the President will DEFINITELY carry some (pretty major) weight IMO. General legacies (parent who went to the school) do not carry much weight at all these days, but something as major as being president will certainly play a role.

That being said, this is not a guaranteed admission, but combined with your strong stats the chances for you look pretty good. :)

thank you so much...
i guess I will just have to wait and see

i wud be astonished if you didn't get in.

im not as confident though...ive heard that legacy stuff just doesnt mean much anymore...

yeah but if your grandpa was president of brown, then that's different.
