Chances for Brown, Northwestern, and Middlebury

I'm interested in Brown, NU, and Middlebury.

Small suburban high school, white/asian unhooked male.
GPA: 4.0
Class rank: approximately 1
ACT: 35
SAT IIs: 800 World, 790 US
National Merit Qualifier (based on scores/state, most likely will be Finalist)
National Honor Society
Spanish Honor Society
9 AP classes, most rigorous curriculum possible

Debate team (leadership position)
model UN (leadership position)
moot court (leadership position)
Peer tutoring
Political internship

Go for it. You are a qualify candidate for these schools. Just make sure you have other matching schools and a safety on the list as the acceptance rate of Brown and NU are very low.

Brown: Reach
NWU: High match
Middlebury: Reach

Tulane should be given a shot at the match level. What state do you live in?

Everything looks solid! I would say from what I can assume… Possibly help out in the community somehow, which colleges like to see in candidates. Hopefully youll get good teacher recs.

Northwestern is a campus in a perfect environment, but assuming you like a small, liberal arts college outside of Chicago, this seems to be your best bet and a great fit!

Hey, we are pretty similar… I was president of Model UN and worked in the state legislature, also applied to Brown and Middlebury (accepted to both), had 35 ACT, etc. You have an above average chance if you do two things: 1. Spend plenty of time developing your essays and 2. Get a letter of recommendation from whoever you worked for in the political realm. For the Brown essay, be sure emphasize your independence as a learner/intrinsic motivation. Good luck

Catria: I live in Chicagoland, IL. I’ve looked at Tulane but I don’t like that it’s such a party school (mardi gras…). What are some other good matches for me?

I predict you’ll get into all three.

Brown: Reach
NU: High Match
Middlebury: High Match
