** My Trig and Gov teachers will give me amazing recs as will my counselor**

I come from an extremely low income family (Less than 15000 a year.) My parents are divorced and I live with my mom. I am a first generation college attendee.

Thanks so much for your help. I know these can be annoying. Please be brutally honest

Looks pretty good. Maybe you could be a little more in depth about your ECs. congrats on valedictorian. also, the 75th percentile for Brown ACTS is 34, so you are probably at the 60th, so in the running. I would say a low reach chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736144-chance-upcoming-senior-my-school-picks.html

Actually, i think if you write great essays its a match, you should try for higher ivies like columbia, dartmouth, even harvard. None of those are out of your reach

Uh…I think Harvard is probably going to be an insanely high reach for him. ^^
Also, unless I missed it, you didnt post your SAT/SAT II/ACT scores? Its really hard to chance without those…but anyways. Assuming you did decently well on them, I think Brown is a low reach for you, you have a good courseload and solid ECs.

I got a 33 on the act taking the SAT I and II’s in the fall. Also, i feel kind of dumb but is low reach good I don’t ever know what any of those terms mean on here.

Haha so low reach is exactly what it sounds like, a place where you’d have to work harder to get in (the odds are against you), but not too badly so… if that jumbled explanation even made sense. High reaches are places where you prooobably won’t get in, 80 - 100% rejected if I had to take a stab at the stats.
A 33 on the ACT isn’t bad, but I still say Ivies are high reaches :P

Hey I’m trying for Brown too!
Your grades are just stellar and congrats on being val…
As much as this pains me to say (since I’m founder and president of my school’s women’s/pro-choice club haha) you should definitely play up your leadership in the pro-life club you started. You need to take SAT 2’s and if you don’t get 750+ that could be a problem… but since you are so talented at math hopefully you’ll do well at least on math 2
