For Brown University, what do you think my chances might be...
SAT-2100 (retaking)
(W-680
M-700
CR-720)
SATII-math level, chem (atleast 750+, retaking)
AP-two by graduation (BC calc, chem)
GPA-4.2 (of 4.0 scale)
activities/awards: key club, other volunteering (50+ hours), National Honor Society, Math Team, a few winning art pieces, various self-taught programming

on top of getting together my recommendations (GC and 2 teachers)...I'm thinking of putting together a portfolio as well...
...also sending baked goods to the admission officer...

oh, no i did not seriously mean that...
...
do I have too few extra-curriculars, or are the scores too low? I feel that scores can be easily changed, but it's difficult to add anymore ECs...

yeah...i'll try to get at least a 2200
well, i've taken a good deal of AP courses, but I was only planning on taking two of the tests.
I could do the french exam and stats too...i guess i could do calc ab as well, though that might be repetitive...
how many ap exams should i have?

Your ECs need work. You may very well be super involved in those things, but your list is awful. If you put your activities down like that on an app you're gone.

And taking AP courses without taking the test = bad.

But...you had one good idea: the art portfolio. If your stuff is good, award-winning, then send some to the admissions folk. Especially if you're passionate about/want to persue it. Brown would allow you to take classes at RISD.

It's not really a matter of how many AP exams you have to have. It's more a matter of how many you took compared to the amount your HS offers. If you took only 2 out of 9, then that would look very bad for Brown. If you took 2 out of 2, then it would look okay.

Yeah, I've gotten some of my artwork published. I'm working on a publication of my own now of Grimms fariytales with nice illustrations. I have about 4 AP courses, but I figured that the Advanced Placement exam is merely for the purpose of 'Advanced Placement'....and I didn't see the point of the test if I didn't want to go any further with the particular subject. Yeah, actually, that might look bad...
I also do a lot of self studying with programming (25-20 hrs a week, twice that in the summer) and I can integrate that with my digital art. It combines problem solving and my artistic skill. Actually, I do studying on my own in multiple subjects. Would it be a good idea to mention that even though it's not part of a club? Dos it have to involve social interactions
