Chances for Brown?

My chances thread for Brown University:

HS: large public school in CA/ so far ranked 1 out of class of about 500.
GPA: 4.0/4.0; 4.3 weighted
SATI: 780 M/ 800 V/ 740 W- 2320 total
SATIIs: French - 760; Chemistry- 790; Math II- 800
APs: 8 total by the time I graduate (Currently taking 4)
Currently a junior, set to apply to my dream school since freshman year!

Some of my ECs (excluded a few items and my awards for anonymity):

 • Class Vice-Prez sophomore year
 • City youth orchestra concertmaster
 • President of school’s volunteer club…more than 300 hours of volunteer service around the community
 • Summer research program- selected as one of 20 out of 200 applicants…Siemens Westinghouse semifinalist
 • Amateur writer - published in online and printed poetry and fiction magazines (not anything big name but it’s an accomplishment for me)

I’m pretty good at writing and expect to write a really good essay. Not sure about my recommendation letter writers since I’m still a junior, but I am close with at least one of my teachers.

I’m also applying to Washington University in St. Louis, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Dartmouth, and a few others.

Can anyone help me? Please?

I’m not an expert at this sort of thing, but your stats look pretty amazing!! I’d say you have a good shot, but I could be wrong. Just make sure you come across as a real, interesting, passionate person in your essays- you don’t want admissions to think that you’re a robot.

I’d say you have a very good chance. What are you applying for? If you apply for an Sc. b in the hard sciences, maintain your stats, and show how much you love Brown, your chances are 80+%!

Lol (#2). Seriously, do you even have to ask?

You’re bound to make it. Lol, if not you, then who else?
