Chances for BU and Tufts

<p>I got a 1740 on my SATs...can I still get into Tufts or BU?</p>

<p>My entire list besides those two are: Brown, Northeastern, BC, and Suffolk, </p>

<p>Catholic School typically sends lots of students to NU and BU</p>

<p>I have a 4.0+ GPA unweighted. top 10% of my class (28 out of around 350).
4 AP courses (one of those was in Junior year rest senior). and many honors class too.
740 my US History and 530 on Lit SATII.</p>

<p>won gold and silver medals in History (Freshman-Junior year) for having the highest/second highest average in my class.</p>

<p>President of my school's Model UN club (I have won numerous awards including Best Delegate)
Member of my school's Mock Trial team (two time regional champs).
NHS
Math League
Amnesty International
Peer Leaders
Community service projects (river cleanups and soup kitchens).
I am also fluent in Greek and Spanish.

Altar boy for 6+ years
Boston Cares member
Internship for State Senator in MA State House
Campaign Volunteer or another State Senator.
Work on weekends in a pizza shop.</p>

<p>With that SAT score, Brown and Tufts are likely out of reach. BC would be a high reach, BU and Northeastern would be low reaches. Suffolk would be a safety.</p>

<p>May I ask how you have a 4.0+ UNWEIGHTED GPA? As far as I know, GPA is on a 4.0 scale when unweighted, so maybe your school is different from mine. I was just wondering, and I can’t chance since I’m a high school student myself.</p>

<p>i would recommend giving the SAT’s one more shot in January because unfortunately those score will probably won’t cut it. Study hard during X-Mas break!</p>
