Hi guys! I’m a current senior who applied to 7 schools. BU, Northeastern, and NYU are my top 3, but the other schools I applied to include:

I got 2 LOTR’s, one from my AP Physics teacher (who was also the teacher in my freshman student advisory) and one from my AP Psych teacher. I haven’t read them but they should be fine, considering I got along with both teachers fairly well. My essay was also pretty good, it was the challenge prompt on the Common App and was about my first interview at Best Buy (which went horribly horribly wrong). My supplementals for the schools that offered them were my biggest strengths, I think, because I really tried to go out of the box and be kind of unique and witty with the. The thing that I really worry about is my unweighted GPA, which is lower than I want it to be because I got C’s in my honors math classes sophomore and junior year. I am showing an upward trend this year in math, however, with a B+/A- in my honors calc class, so hopefully that helps?? BU is my top school and I should be hearing back in about a month, but I’m super nervous so I thought I would turn here and see how feasible an acceptance actually would be.

Thanks in advance!!

Applying ED to BU definitely shows interest. No offense but you are an average applicant, but i would say low match for NYU, Northeastern, mid reach for BU. GPA is your weakest point and your ECs are not quite unique, but if your supplementals are strong you might stand a chance. good luck! Chance me back for some of the same schools? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2046120-chance-me-for-nyu-cas-bu-northeastern-cssh-northwestern.html#latest

@axelgirl17 Thank you! They’re definitely risky applications, I’ve looked at all their average scores and admissions data so I’m well aware. My school also only lets us take 4 classes at a time, so I hope they’ll take that into consideration when they look at the fact that 2/4 of my classes per semester were AP’s.
