Chances for Bucknell?

Hi, I am a junior looking at the School of Management at Bucknell. I felt at home when I visited it, but I also am interested in other schools. In terms of my admissions, if I did not apply ED, would I still be accepted.

Info:
3.53 UW out of 4
3.85 W out of 4
Act:28 (First time without studying. I know I can get it up to at least a 30)
Every class that I could take was honors with 4 Ap’s through high school.
My high school has incredible reputation

Average/ Typical Ecs:
Member of 5 clubs all for at least 2 years. I’m gonna have executive positions in some of these
Coached Youth 5 Sports teams
Many Community Service Hours
Member of 2 Relay for Life Teams

Sports:
Varsity Soccer
Captain of JV
Soccer all throughout high school
Recreational Basketball

Awards:
NHS
State Finalist at DECA and FBLA competition
High Honors Level Met X5
Honors Level Met X2
Tiger’s Pride Award
Won first place in marketing & product development for MICA corporation competition

Looks like a solid match. If you get a 30 on the ACT I would be very surprised if you didn’t get in. Bucknell is very ED heavy so keep that in mind.

Your list has good options so applying to Bucknell makes sense.

@2019Parent Just to clarify, applying RD rather than ED should not have a big effect on my admissions?

Your chance in ED is much higher. The ED acceptance rate is 50% and drops to around 30% overall, including the ED portion.

However it is hard to filter out athletes and legacy from ED but regardless if you really like Bucknell ED is the way to go.

If you get a 30 or better then I would apply RD.

You look pretty good for ED. What is your class rank and what specific APs have you taken/will you take?

@surfcity My school does not do class rank but I’d imagine somewhere in the top 20%. I took APUSH this year and next year I’m taking AP Calc AB, AP Econ, and AP Gov & Politics
