Chances for Business School?

This is my first post on the College Confidential forums!

I am currently a senior in high school, and would like to attend business school. Not quite sure about the concentration yet (potentially finance or management), but I definitely want the suit and tie, 'work your way up' type of working environment. These are the top schools that I've been looking at so far:

New York University (Stern)
University of Southern California
University of California (Berkeley)
Boston University
Northeastern University
University of Pennsylvania

These are my current stats:

Gender: Male
Ethnicity: White/Caucasian
Location: Upstate New York
GPA: 96.7 (not sure how to convert to a 4.0 scale)
SAT Composite: 1800 (600 in each category) Retaking this fall
ACT: Taking this fall

Honors and AP courses:
9th:
English 9H
Honors Global History
Geometry Honors

10th:
English 10H
Honors Global History II
Algebra 2/Trigonometry honors

11th:
English 11H
AP Calculus I

12th:
AP Biology/Living Environment
AP U.S. Government and Economics
AP English 12
AP Calculus II

I realize that my high school does not offer many AP/Honors courses, but I have taken all of the courses that have been offered (Except AP chem, which was just added my senior year and I have no room in my schedule for it).

Extra-Curricular Activities:

President of the National Honor Society (3 years)
Treasurer of the Marching Band (2 years)
Low Brass Section Leader of Marching Band (3 years-I play the Tuba and Trombone)
HOBY Alumni
Math League (3 years: Placed 5th as a Sophomore, 1st as a Junior, ?? for Senior)
Masterminds (JV- 1 year, Varsity- 2 years)
Tennis Team (Varsity- 3 years)
Medical Explorers (1 year)
Jazz Band (3 years as a baritone saxophone player)
Participant in the NYSSMA festival (3 years-perfect scores on my level 3,4, and 5)

I also currently have around 35+ hours of volunteer service from random church events or school related functions.

Basically, I was wondering what my chances are for acceptance into any of the schools I listed above. Also, if you guys could maybe list some schools that might be a good fit for me aside from the ones listed, I would really appreciate it. Looking to move to California and establish myself in a firm out west.

Any advice you guys can give is greatly appreciated!

I’m going to chance based on your 1800 SAT because its hard to project what you will get later. Based on that, I’d say that at NYU, USC, UCB, and UPenn, your chances are essentially zero. BU and Northeastern are slightly more feasible. I hate to be so frank, but for those schools, an 1800 is very low, and at places like UPenn, it’s low even if you have a hook. I really really really hope you raise your SAT (or ACT) to at the very least a 2100, but preferably a 2200+. This, along with your other credentials, will give you a decent shot at all of these schools. Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any other questions!

GO STUDY FOR THE SAT!!!
