Chances for business

I'd like to know my chances of admission to the Smith school of business. Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.61 unweighted (all honors courses, will have 8 AP's by graduation)
recieved C+ in AP calc though... first/only grade below B
SAT: 1350/2030 (630 CR, 720 M, 680 W)
EC's: Cross Country 4 yrs. (2 years varsity, captain this year)
Indoor Track: 3 yrs. (took junior year off to nurse xc injury)
Outdoor Track: 4 yrs. (3 years varsity, should be captain this year)
Physics team co-captain (senior year only)

Additionally, would I be eligible for any money or admission to the honors program?

you should get in... GPA is a tad low... for honors

you have great ECs but your gpa is a bit low. also retaking the sats wouldn't be a bad idea. chances for merit money are slim but you could get into honors.

For merit $$ and the honors program, does UMd have separate applications or are all applicants screened for same ? Thanks.

No separate applications, just the regular one.

I think you have a very good shot. You need at least a 3.2 UW GPA and 1300 SATs, so your in the ballpark.

Your GPA is in the honors range considering that it's unweighted. Bump up that CR score to a 670 and you'll be exempt from ENGL101 (if you haven't taken AP English Lang).

I actually already took AP English language and comp and got a 4 so i think i'd place out of that

yeah you would place out of engl 101. i didn't reach the 670 on CR but i did get a 4 on english lang. i dont have to take engl 101 but you do have to take junior english. but that is geared towards your major so it should be useful.
