Here’s some data to help evaluate your chances:

Preliminary numbers show that for Freshmen entering Fall 2012, Cal Poly accepted 30.7% of Engineering applicants (3,402 accepted/11,082 applied), who had an average GPA of 3.98, ACT of 30, and SAT of 1346 (math and reading only).

Can’t tell if this is a joke…

Why would it be, slimsta?

No reason why you would not be a very, very strong candidate for Cal Poly, any UC and a number of privates. Apply to Cal Poly and several other schools as back up and you should get into the majority. Great job in HS!

Well i dont know i’ve had some people say that It’s not that easy to get into! And plus, I want a good scholarship into it…do you think they’d offer me one?

Your stats are up and beyond the average accepted for Mechanical Engineering. You have nothing to worry about! With those stats, no reason why you wouldn’t be competitive for a scholarship!

ty but people are telling me there are no more merit scholarships D8 is that true?!
