Alright so that’s all I have so I would just want to know what you guys think and any info on any university that I listed would be appreciated. Thank you!
Your UW GPA is too low for the UC’s and SDSU, but you may try Cal State LA. UCR would be a push. If you are instate you should apply to the CSUs in your region.
You would most likely get into uc merced and uc riverside. But if you bring your act/sat up then you might have a shot at uc Santa Cruz.
UC’s and CSU’s use the capped weighted UC GPA. Here is the calculator: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Based on your UW GPA, your highest possible UC/CSU GPA would be in the 3.6-3.7 range.
For SDSU/CSULA, they admit by Eligibility index and major.
(CSU/UC capped weighted GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR) or (CSU/UC capped weighted GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10).
I think you should have no problem with CSULA but SDSU you want EI of at least 4100 SAT or 1050 ACT to be competitive.
UCR is within range but intended major will impact your chances. Bumping up your test scores can help.
UCLA is High Reach
UCSD is also a Reach.
You need to apply widely and I would focus on the Cal States vs the UC’s. UC Merced looks like a Match.
As noted by @“aunt bea”, you get priority at your local CSU.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:
UCB: 2%
UCLA: 3%
UCSD: 6%
UCD: 15%
UCSB: 14%
UCI: 13%
UCSC: 59%
UCR: 78%
UCM: 92%
I agree - you should definitely sit for another SAT - another 50+ points will make a difference.
A couple of campuses not mentioned above to consider - Sonoma is small and very residential, many people compare it to privates - they are known for English, teaching credentials, and a unique Wine Biz program. Chico is also very residential, is right in the heart of down-town Chico, the campus has oaks, bricks and a creek flowing through the middle. The school has strong Biz program, most engineerings, CS and Ag. of course both offer lots more but, you get the idea.
Good luck.
