Bio, MathII, and French in January (Got some pretty bad scores in December and I'm retaking) </p>

<p>91% Average over 3 years of High School, but here, everything from 80-100 is an A
3.9ish UW GPA i think (No B's in HS, straight A's)
Competitive public HS, rank 7/220 UW
taken the hardest courseload our school offers (No AP/IB though)</p>

<p>ECs
Varsity football for 3 years Starting WR (We were ranked Number 1 varsity team in Canada for 3 years straight, lost in the provincial finals this year)
played piano for 12 years, numerous awards and trophies on regional level on made it to the provincial final of the Canadian Music Competition
Peer Helpers
Instrumental Stage Band
Math Club Exec
Lots of stuff with Chinese Community (performances, organizing, youth exec)
I plan on sending in a CD
some community service (60-80 hours?)
Honour Roll, 90+ average every year in HS
Some math awards</p>

<p>Counselour rec is kinda just a laundry list, but it's really good (short)
Teacher recs are very very good, considering they've never written recs for american universities before
Essay is still being finalized, i gues it's sort of a cliche topic, but i think it's very personal and it shows what kind of person I am
I'd like to major in Bio, probably pre-med</p>

<p>I really didn't care a lot about American universities till I visited some of the campuses and it just seems like I'll get a better education in a better atmosphere there. If i had known before, I would had taken my SATs earlier and applied ED.</p>

<p>i think you have a very good chance at cornell, especially ED. cornell's ED acceptance rate is pretty high (somewhere in the 50-60%).

<p>lol, i really don't know of any other asians who play football, but i'm sure there's more . . .
it's just such a great sport, i joined for all the wrong reasons, but i really came to love it, and how it really just brings people together</p>

<p>to be honest, i think you are an average Canadian applicants for Cornell and JHU.. i think it'd be neat to concentrate on football though in some parts to stand out.</p>

<p>i really didn't want to write an essay about football, or being asian and playing football for that matter
it's a really cliche topic isn't it? i'm sure i could make it pretty good, but i could just see an adcom going "oh god, not another 'what football has taught me' essay"</p>

<p>I've talked to regional director for internationals from Cornell, they get about 300-400 applications from Canada each year
there's about 70 Canadians in each year @ Cornell
umm, from what i figure, most Canadians who apply to Cornell, or any american universities for that matter will be extremely qualified but might think of Cornell as somewhat of a safety for HYPS
according to regional director, acceptance rate for Canadians is "higher than average" because Canadians do very well at Cornell</p>

<p>Cornell is really my top choice . . i like it a lot. i'm really punishing myself for not taking the SAT earlier and applying ED though, which would have helped me a lot</p>
