I don’t know too much, but I can definitely see your gpa bringing your chances down for Vanderbilt and Carnegie Mellon. They’re top schools that are going to want students with near 4.0s.
According to some research I did, the average gpa of accepted students at Vanderbilt was between 3.7-3.8 and act was 33-35. Vanderbilt is also very expensive.
For Carnegie Mellon, the average gpas for accepted students was from 3.8-4.0
What do you think my chances are for the rest of the schools listed??
You have just added a few since the last time you asked. The only school on your list that you could consider a true match due to your gpa would be Santa Clara. They only have bioengineering and it is not listed as ABET accredited. BU and NYU still have to be considered reaches since their acceptance percentage is <20% but at least they accept a decent percentage of applicants in your gpa range. The rest of the schools have to be high reaches for engineering due to gpa. I am not really sure about Claremont McKenna as it is a small LAC that doesn’t have a real engineering program and is very different from any other school on your list. It also has ~10% acceptance.
Most of the others also have GPA requirements that are higher than your’s or would put you in a lower percentile compared to other applicants. If you still have time, try to bump your gpa otherwise search for a little less selective schools.
