<p>CWRU is extremely unpredictable, but you have a good chance.</p>

<p>Not sure about the specifics of CWRU admissions. But based on its apparent logistics (51% acceptance rate, ~2000 median/mean SAT) I would say you’re in.</p>

<p>Boston College is a low match.</p>

<p>Sanguine, how is Case Western unpredictable? </p>

<p>To anyone, between Case Western and Boston College, which would be best? How are Boston College’s grading policies? Any grade inflation or deflation?</p>

<p>I’m a freshman at BC right now. Thus far at least, my impression is that if you choose your professors wisely, attend class, plan your HW and studying schedule accordingly, a 3.6+ GPA is easily within reach. That’s for the business school though, not sure about those crazy pre-med kids.</p>

<p>They don’t want to accept anyone they know will ditch them for a more prestigeous/ivy school that’s why… they used to have a super high acceptance rate but now it has gotten much lower. BTW I just did an interview for Case Western yesterday. Good luck. </p>

<p>Saguinee, is there any way I can let them know that I don’t intend to ditch them for an Ivy or a more prestigious School? I’m also applying to John Hopkins and Cornell but Case Western is actually my top choice.</p>

<p>Indicate it in your essay and do an alumni interview and tell the alumni that it’s your number one choice. That should be enough.</p>

<p>Tufts and Holy Cross have very good pre-med programs. Holy Cross also offers good financial aid.</p>

<p>You’re in at both. I highly suggest CWRU. I live about thirty minutes away, and it’s a great school. They constantly work with the Cleveland Clinic (one of the nation’s best hospitals especially with cancer). It’s almost a no brainier. The only downside is the city of Cleveland is kinda boring. <p>letsgobuckeyes, as long as the campus is good and has a sufficient ammount of clubs that I can actually join and enjoy, I will disregard a certain amount of the surrounding area’s monotony. I really like CWRU because of the various types of opportunities that it offers.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any experiences or knowledge about CWRU’s financial aid for a low-income student such as myself particularly need-based aid? My family’s income is in the $30k-$35k range. If it matters, I’m Chinese.</p>

<p>Thanks everyone. As previously stated, while it seems my chances of getting in are good, my largest and perhaps sole worry is being able to afford an education at CWRU hence my previous question in the preceding post.</p>
