I was wondering what my chances for University of Chicago early action are with a 1390/1600 SAT (740 M, 650 CR) and a 3.6 UW GPA/3.67 W (my school gives barely any weights), I know the GPA is low but that's because my freshman grades were horrible (I wrote about why they were so low and in the common app essay), I have a 3.8 for sophomore and junior, I had all honors and AP, I took about half of the AP classes available before senior year, I go to a private school which is seen regionally as very prestigious, I have good EC's, my letters of rec should be pretty good (I waived my rights), my essays, i have been told, are really good and I'm taking four AP's senior year with a 3.8 so far

It’s hard to give a breakdown of chances to U of C with the limited information you presented. An ambiguous “My EC’s are good” doesn’t do much. If you breakdown your GPA by year and what classes you took each year, along with specific ECs it would help.

From what you presented, I would say Chicago is a far reach because of the low GPA and not the best SAT. Do you plan on taking it again?
