Chances for Clemson and UGA?

Alright so I’m a senior and have already applied to Clemson and UGA early action. I have a 3.71 weighted GPA and 3.38 unweighted with a 1270 new sat. I have already been accepted to Auburn and University of Alabama for mechanical engineering. I was thinking maybe mechanical engineering would be not very competitive at UGA considering it is new and not very well ranked but I could be very wrong. So are my chances alright or am I most likely going to get denied.

I have also taken or am currently taking the following AP’s
AP statistics
AP environmental science
AP us history
AP calculus ab
AP calculus bc
AP physics C: mechanics
AP microeconomics
AP macroeconomics
AP us government and politics

I would say to study and try and get an SAT score as close to the 1400s as possible and it’s looking good for you. About 70% of students are admitted EA to UGA. Clemson might be tougher since it has a more established engineering program.

Clemson engineering is one of the most competitive majors to be admitted into. Students admitted typically have high GPAs, high test scores. Clemson looks at GPA , test scores , rank and rigor when accepting students for admission. Are you instate or OOS ? You may want to look at University of SC as another option for engineering. I have a friend whose son attends there , and loves it.

And I just retook the new sat and I was getting 1300’s on practice test and probably got 1300-1350 but I will. It be able to use it for ea UGA, I will only get to use it if I get rolled over to regular decision.
