My sister and several family members have graduated from Clemson.
Also, I am an instate student wanting to major in Biological Sciences!
I think you have a good chance being Instate even though your act and uw gpa are on the low end. Good luck!
Thank you so much! Clemson is my dream school and I’m getting so nervous!!!
ACT is a little on the low side for Clemson, but if it is your dream school, show them that you are fully committed. Email the admissions reps, visit, and show as much interest as you can. Your ECs really make you stand out. I think that Clemson will see that you can make a difference there because of your awards and contribution to your community. This seems like a match school for you.
Wait-- I just saw that you have legacy. I don’t want to jinx it but I think you have a great shot of getting in! If your school does a senior survey, look at the stats and see how people at your school do at Clemson. Good luck!!!
Clemson weighs admissions based on GPA, test scores, rank and rigor . ECs come into play very minimally except while they are assessing someone for admission to Calhoun Honors College. Rather than looking at the scores of people at your school that were admitted, a better indication of how your stats measure up is to look at the Common Data Set for last year. You are competing with applicants from all over the country, not just your school. http://www.clemson.edu/oirweb1/fb/factBook/CommonDataSet2014.pdf
