Hook:
Nice recommendation from university advisor. Not sure if my essays count (but told by teachers that they were great).
-Familiar with a research environment because of the internship.
-NYU, Has legacy from father. But he went for Law School, so I'm not sure that counts for a whole lot.

Not sure if I have a solid chance at either school. Really worried that my GPA is going to kill me.

SAT I scores are on the lower end, but they shouldn’t hurt you. SAT II scores are good, and I know you fulfilled MCS testing requirements. ECs overall aren’t outstanding but nevertheless very solid. To be blunt, however, your GPA really drags your application down, and you lack awards. Hopefully your other stuff (recs and essays) are strong enough. You have a fair chance at MCS, but due to GPA and awards, I’d put it at around a low reach (possibly a high match if you get excellent recs and essays). NYU, on the other hand, I am not familiar with, so I won’t waste your time or mine by throwing in a random guess.

@Chewydog His SAT score are top 75% for both schools, the GPA is the problem,
