<p>I'm hoping to get into the film program at NYU or USC, which I know are both very competitive</p>

<p>I have a weighted GPA of about an 89% which I'm hoping to bring up to an A- this year. I take mostly APs and honors courses but usually get Bs in those. I go to a nationally recognized public highschool, ranked in the top 20 highschools in my state, and have lots of ECs.</p>

<p>I didn't really start doing film stuff until my junior year, when I took a film course at school and a summer editing course, and started interning at a place where I get to work on different film and video projects.</p>

<p>I was also wondering if I could get some predictions about my chances for some potential reaches that I'm trying to edit down (I know the Ivies probably won't happen, but I'd still like to apply to one for fun haha):

<p>I’d say all the schools you listed are reaches. (NYU and USC depend on your artistic ability, mostly).
Maybe if you give a little more in-depth information on your ECs, leadership, awards, honors, etc. we can give you a better idea of what schools are a better fit for you</p>
