Obviously you have all the required scores to get in. Now it all comes down to ECs and your essay. Your achievements in science will really help you and it is clear from your awards to your Bio SAT and your chem teacher’s recommendation letter that this is an area in which you have a strong interest and can excel. I also think you chose a good essay topic and one to which I feel adcoms will respond well.

I actually think you have a good chance of getting into Columbia, and definitely the others schools to which you are applying early. I’m not exactly familiar with the prestige of the awards you received and the competitions but if they are highly regarded, you may even have a shot at Harvard or Yale. But to be honest, unlikely. Your involvement in athletics definitely helps though, as you’ve obviously excelled in the sciences but still spent a lot of your time with sports. It looks like your heart is set on Columbia since you are applying early. I have a strong feeling you will get in. My friend’s SAT score was almost 200 points lower than yours and she didn’t win any major award nor was she a part of a URM and got in early. I would be shocked if you didn’t.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have anymore Qs.

thanks i appreciate your response

Very good chances, probably a bit above average for Columbia and for RD I think you’ll get into at least one or a few of the ivies and peer schools.

Great work and good luck! I’m also on the Pre med track for medical school :)
