i know i don't have many amazing accomplishments/awards; how much is that going to hurt me?
I also don't know if my SAT scores are good enough, should I take the ACT?

this chance format looks vaguely familiar…

bumpppppppppppp

does your great report rank? hopefully not because your grades would make it seem like you’re much higher than that. i wouldn’t worry about that SAT–thats a good score! and if the dancing is really important to you, you could write about it and it could be your hook. i think you have a good chance ED!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735911-chance-georgia-peach-stanford-other-top-schools-i-chance-back.html</a> thanks!

if by great report you mean school, then nahh my school doesn’t rank
and yeah im really into dance haha but idk if its good enough… dont most people have multiple things that they’re good at?

if u can prove that ur really really into dance and u have awards to show for it and can write killer essays, i don’t see why not (after u fix those SATs)

anyone elseeeee? pleaseee??

would u happen to go to the union county magnet high school?

I’m sure if you could bump your SAT score you would be very competitive in the admissions process.

Chance me please?

haha one problem. june was my last time taking SATs. gah. any other ways i could make my app more impressive?

and ultrasurf, would you happen to be the great awu = O

Hmm this is a tough one to call…Columbia is an extremely selective school obviously. In fact, an friend of mine got deferred and then rejected from there after she applied ED. She had a 36 on her ACT, a few presidencies and officer positions, 4.0 and in the top 1 percent of her class…so its definately somewhat selective. Your test scores are good, not extraordinary for Columbia though, and I think your ECs are good. All in all, I think I will call this one a lowish reach for you.

@ns614: is that a name?

@ultrasurf: -_-
