<p>Columbia University is my top choice, but I'm not sure if my scores are good enough to get me in. Just so everyone knows, I've taken the SATs again on November 1st, so we'll see how that turns out:</p>

<p>Volunteering Experience:
MADE - MADE stands for Making a Difference Everywhere, and is club for volunteering sponsored by the recreation program in my town. We volunteer at soup kitchens, fairs, school clean-ups and other community activities. (11,12)</p>
<p>Teachers Aid - On days that I am available after school, I help my French teacher grade papers and upload grades onto the computer. (10,11,12)</p>
<p>Habitat For Humanity (Raritan Valley) - This organization provides and builds homes for low-income families within 2 counties. We pick a site, raise funds, and find a family with whom we work together on the construction of the home. (10,12)</p>
<p>Out of School Activities:
Piano (Royal School of Music) - I take piano classes with a private teacher affiliated with the Royal School of Music. There are 8 levels of study, and a diploma (which I am currently working for). I have performed at Carnegie Hall, Kimmel Hall, and the Bosendorfer Saal in Vienna, Austria. (12 years)</p>
<p>NJMEA All-State Choir/CJMEA Regional Choir (NJ/Central Jersey Music
Educators Association) - NJMEA and CJMEA choirs are both audition-based. CJMEA choir performs at different schools, whereas NJMEA choir performs at NJPAC (NJ Performing Arts Center) and Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. (10,11,12)</p>
<p>Dance (Indian dance) - I dance privately and with a local group under a trained choreographer and have performed at several Indian festivals. (11,12)</p>
<p>CTY Center For Talented Youth (Class taken: Chemistry in Society) - A summer camp lasting three weeks organized by JHU which allows students to choose one course to study. (10)</p>
<p>Tutoring: 7th grade - I tutored a 7th grader in 7th grade math, writing, and reading. (11)</p>
<p>DJ - I was a disc jockey at a local Indian party, and was responsible for mixing together several types and themes of music based on time, mood, etc. The party was held for 6 hours during which music had to be playing at all times. (12)</p>
