I was wondering what my chances were for computer engineering.
SAT: 1400
710 Math, 690 reading
GPA: 3.64 on a 5.0 scale (school does not rank)
ECs:
marching band all four years
almost an eagle scout (will be by January)
140+ volunteer hours at humane society and the veterans affairs hospital
It is really hard to say without a school ranking. I am pretty sure A&M finds a way to place students in a ranking quartile based on the information the school gives. Assuming that comes up with a top quarter, you will be automatically admitted to the school and I would guess not have an issue getting into the general engineering program. If you come up below the top quarter it is more up in the air and will depend on your essays, lord and the like.
@learner234 , your SAT, ECs, and soon to be eagle scout are great. A few questions: When did you apply? Is your application still listed as incomplete? If the application is now complete, what rank or quartile did TAMU assign you?
@CamandCam I applied November 21st, TAMU assigned me in the 2nd quartile.
