Chances for computer science at UIUC, Purdue, Mich, GT, Texas, MN, OSU, Maryland?

ACT: 35C (33E, 34R, 35S, 36M)
UWGPA: 3.63, WGPA 4.02, class rank - don’t ask!! Lots of Bs while playing football in 9th and 10th, quit to focus on school and had a 4.8 GPA junior year with 4 APs. Taking 7 APs this year. Essay addresses this. Hoping for that holistic review kind of thing.

2 summer programs involving computer science - college classes for credits, 4.0 in each, did Harvard CS50 online
Main hobby/EC is programming games on massive multiplayer site. Latest game launched in July has had 930,000 players so far.

A few other ECs, nothing major.

UIUC is first choice, Any thoughts on:
UIUC
Purdue
Michigan
Texas
Ohio State
Georgia Tech
Maryland
Minnesota
Berkeley

Thanks for any insight–I know the GPA and rank are a problem, but if everybody really likes the upward trend as much as they say they do, maybe it won’t automatically disqualify.

CS at UIUC is highly competitive. Your chance is not great there due to your GPA. Purdue should be a good match. UMich considers GPA to be most important, so you will have a high time there too.

Purdue- Match/Low Match
UIUC- Reach for CS in CoE, Match/High Match for CS in L&S
UMich- Reach
UC Berkeley- Reach
Georgia Tech- High Match/Low Reach
UT Austin- Reach
UMD- Match/High Match

Even for LSA at UMich, OP’s GPA is too low (admission average 3.85) to call it a match.

That’s kind of what I figured…thanks!
