You’re welcome. Also, are you dead set on Cooper Union? Purdue is another superb engineering school, with more relaxed admissions standards/competitiveness compared to Cooper Union.

I agree cooper union would be a reach (especially since they have an 8% acceptance rate) but I mean 25th percentile means there’s a shot! I’d look at it as like a dream school. Good Luck though!

Comparing to past year CU admission statistics, your test scores are definitely on the low side.

But do not lose hope yet. CU’s full tuition policy was abolished and although it still covers half of the tuition fees, you can expect a significant number of outstanding applicants to go for schools with better overall reputation.

Should try to get your SAT to 2000, or ACT to 30 at least, and you would have a decent (but still slightly below average) chance.

You have a good courseload and solid ECs, although your test scores may hurt you. I would work on studying very hard for the SATs and ACTs, and either take new SAT 2s or retake the ones you have. With higher test scores, I believe you have a much better chance at Cooper Union Best of luck to you!

Not sure if you’ll have time to retake the SAT or take the ACT, but if your score was slightly higher, it’d be better! Early decision will definitely make it a little easier for you!
Good luck! And chance me!
