I am a high school student from India, and I'm interested in Computer Science & Engineering courses.
I will be applying to colleges this year. Here are my stats:

SAT I:
M:790
CR:680
WR: 700
Composite: 2170 (Two Sittings)

SAT II:
Physics: 800
Maths Level 2: 800
Chemistry:790

AP:
Calc BC 5/5
Physics Mechanics: 5/5
MacroEconomics: 5/5
Chemistry 4/5
Environmental Science: 4/5

School Grades:
Grade 9th and 10th CGPA: 10/10
Grade 11th 89/100
Rank: Top 5%

ECs:
President of Maths Club - Participated and won Mathematics competitions as part of Math Team of school.
Vice President of Computer Club - Organised inter-school competition in which 20+ schools participated.
Part of School Cabinet
Participated and won several inter school competitions in Video Editing/Digital Presentations/Digital Imaging etc.
Internships: NGO (5 months), Energy Company (3 Weeks)
Came 3rd in NASA competition
Member of Environment Club of school
Other organisational stuff.

Honors:
Awarded Junior Science Talent Search Examination scholarship (Govt. competition)
Good ranks in other national Olympiads.
Gold Medalist in school(For excellent academic record).
AP Scholar with distinction etc.

Teacher recs. and essays should be excellent.

My SAT I score is a little less. Should I take ACT?

Should I apply ED to Cornell? Where should I apply Early Action?
I'm open to suggestions for more colleges.

cornell : low reach
cmu :match
ucb: high match
ucla,uiuc: sure thing
chance me back pls <a href=“please chance me for UCs, CMU, Stanford,UT austin ,cornell,uiuc and princeton - #2 by hstrayt7 - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>please chance me for UCs, CMU, Stanford,UT austin ,cornell,uiuc and princeton - #2 by hstrayt7 - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums;

You have great stats-- I wouldn’t bother taking the ACT since you already have great scores. Raising your SAT won’t make a big difference.
UCB + UCLA - high match
UIUC - safety
Cornell - low reach
CMU - low reach because their computer science program is super competitive.

Chance me back?

You should apply ED to Cornell if it is absolutely your top choice and you will be able to afford it. Be aware that they don’t offer a ton of aid to international students.

Unless OP is from IL, UIUC would be a low reach for CS/Engineering. Same for UCB/UCLA.
You guys need to learn more about the admission stat of these engineering schools and their admission rate for international students.

Your SAT is quite low for these schools, but admission committees will understand because you are an international student. I am 90% sure you will make Cornell ED, but you really want to ask yourself whether you want to be bound to such a school. In my opinion, the tuition for Cornell is very high for its value- you have a good chance at Berkeley as well (my friend from singapore made it with 32 ACT), which has a better engineering program at a lower cost.
