I'd rate your choices as follows... the scale goes unlikely reach, reach, semi-reach, good fit, likely, safety.

Cornell University... REACH.
Duke University... UNLIKELY REACH.
University of Michigan... GOOD FIT.
Brown University... REACH.
University of Florida... LIKELY.

i don't think Cornell will be a reach for you, are you gonna take SAT I? apply as a student athlete?

no-im not planning on taking the SAT 1...although i am planning on just concentrating this summer on the ACT and hopefully raising that a bit
as for the student athelte registration..i dont plan on talking to any coaches about recruitment-running isnt something i want to pursue-it kinda hurts haha
cornell is my first choice...why do u think im not a reach?

The reason I rated Cornell a reach for you is because, honestly, Ivies are pretty much a crapshoot for everyone these days. Having recently applied to Penn (and watched a bunch of my friends apply to a variety of other Ivy League schools including Cornell) I can tell you first hand that good grades and scores don't guarantee an acceptance into a school like Cornell. I'd say you have an honest chance at getting in which is why I didn't rate it an UNLIKELY reach but like I said there are no guarantees. You have the scores for it, but there are so many intangibles taken into account for Ivies that its difficult to say that you're definitely going to get into one.

yah-im agreeing with u on that one..anybody else have an opinion?
