CHANCES for Cornell, Duke, Michigan,Georgetown Brown, UF

yah-im devoting a lot of time this summer into improving it another point or so...what did you mean about the Running Club and contacting a coach?

The running club itself is an awesome e.c. It shows that you have passion, specifically in a field that you are good at. By contacting a coach, I meant sending in those questionaires on Cornell, DUke, UM, GU, Brown, and UF's website. Go to their athletic websites, and they'll have this online form. Your times should at least get some notice. You probably won't be heavily recruited, but coaches will know your times and you will be better off gaining general admission to the school.

Please don't write your essay about running on a cracked rib. Adcoms don't give a damn and they will ignore your app as just another kid.

Write about something you feel passionate about, not the hardships you went through to do it. How about writing about the way you feel when you run, or the thoughts that go through your head when you are running and can ignore the outside world? These are better topics.

thanks a lot there-i ll defintly try and combine them both...thanks again

bummmmmmmmp

Those times are awesome!! I have times like 11:40 for mile. ha.

not really recruiting material probably-i dunno...any other thoughts?

I find that people on CC underrate GTown's selectivity. IMO the school itself is somewhat overrated in terms of the prestige its awarded, but if you look at acceptance rates you'll see that it's very very hard to get in, probably as hard or harder than Duke and from what I've seen, harder than Cornell. It is not a match for you or anyone. For you personally Id say its as big of a reach as Duke and almost as big of a reach as Brown.

what about my first choice in cornell..im applying to the ILR school ED
