Chances for Cornell (ED), UMich (EA), and Syracuse?

Ethnicity: Native American

SAT:
Just retook today to get my math score up. First time in June I got a 2070, 580M 720CR 770W. Today's SAT I'm looking at a 640-670M 720-750CR 800W hopefully. Not really sure with the math, I can only give a range.

SAT IIs:
US History - 800
Literature - Will take next month

ECs:
Model UN - President
Key Club - Secretary
NHS

Job in local gov.

Recommendations: Will be excellent.

Thanks!

Bumpizzle…

You have no chance. No chance at all. Wooow.

From my perspective,

Unless you can bring up that SAT score, Cornell is a reach.
University of Michigan is a match/low reach. I have a family friend that goes there, and he says the campus is GREAT (not sure about government program).
Syracuse - I think you’re in.

I am also a high school student, so these chances are just estimates.
One Tip - Bring out one of your passions when you interview/apply (you may have already applied, not sure)

I don’t see how you’re gonna apply EA to Mich when you haven’t taken a 2nd SAT subject test yet.

otherwise, syracuse looks like a pretty good match, umich should be a reach (contingent on how well you write your essays), and cornell is…sorry, don’t get your hopes up =(

^Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe U of M requires any subject tests.

Besides your test scores, your ECs are lacking, but I think you’ll be fine. URM status will help you a little.

Syracuse - I would say you’re in.
U of M is very test score/GPA-obsessed, so I would say it’s a low reach.
As people have said, Cornell is unlikely, but you never know!

I would definitely suggest you look at colleges your may be interested in between the levels of Syracuse and U of M. If you’d be really happy at Syracuse and would gladly go there, there’s no need for this, but otherwise, try it out.

Good luck!

You seem quite wily.
Good luck on getting into Cornell and all that, use your Native American hook!
woooooow

Cornell: Extremely hard to get accepted. Don’t go there unless u don’t care ab social scene.

Syracuse: Has a good balance between fun & academic. School of New House is best one in country. I swear there are quite many dumb ppl here who are rich, legacy, or athlete. Not that hard to get in.

U of Mich: Easier than Cornell but harder than Cuse to get accepted.

Cornell - Low Reach
U of M - If you applied priority it would be a low match… safety even.
Syracuse - Safety

Iunno, I have a slightly more optimistic view of this situation, especially since he’s URM and top 10%, plus he’s applying Cornell ED, not RD. Isn’t ED acceptance rates for Cornell very high compared to other Ivies? I’d say, and don’t kill me if I’m wrong, low/middle reach Cornell, high match Michigan, in for sure at Syracuse.
