i can get a letter of rec from irvine mayor if helpful

I can fluently speak Korean and English, and I can understand French
thanksthanks in advance

I would say a most definite in.

It’s hard to say that you’d be anything but in at this point.

I’m not sure adcoms love letters of recommendation from public officials though – they’re usually halfhearted and impersonal.

OO wowzers;;
thanks for giving me confidence people == im gonna remember this forever.

but seriously, without the sappiness, im seriously so happy right now o_o..

and the mayor and I are relatively aquainted; we’ve had meetings about orchestra tours and stuff, but i think you might be right. it could still end up as one of those cookie cutter letters..

I think you’re a very strong applicant good luck with ED

If I had to guess, I’d say you’re in - unless you significantly screw up your essays or some other part of your application. However, DO NOT take the predictions here for granted; I remember someone (an Asian male applicant. I think he was applying to the Hotel School or ILR, but I’m not certain) who had high grades/rank, good extracurriculars (only slightly below yours) and an over-2300 SAT who was outright REJECTED in the Early Decision round. That being said, don’t relax and sit on your laurels yet; just like all the other ED applicants, you’re never out of the woods until that “Congratulations!” pops up on the admissions screen/on the letter.

oh crappers O_O thanks for the advice karajanhra

But yeah - looks like an above average shot to me!

Excellent shot, probably better than mine!
