Cornell and Brown are reaches are for everyone, but to improve your chances you should improve that SAT score.

Bump 10char

Get that ACT up to 32+ and you have a great shot at Cornell ED.

Very low chances at it stands.

you have a chance at both those schools… - raising your SAT/ACT score will help up to some extent, but it is not that important. Do put in a lot of effort into your essays.

AND, dont apply ED just for the heck of it - thinking it will boost your chances… apply only if you fall for that school.

Your ECs seem limited to what the hs offers. Any activities that don’t just focus on your own particular interests or strengths? Anything in the community- church, scouts (or the like,) vol work, teen board, etc? Any mentoring or tutoring? Music? Job? You show leadership titles here- but say nothing about responsibilities and your impact.

Grades look good. ECs ok.

For both Cornell and Brown, the ACT range (25th percentile -75th percentile) for admitted students is about 29-33.

This means your score is probably below average for admitted students, but not out of the range. Improving it wouldn’t hurt, but apply in any case.

Write good essays and get good recommendations to help.
